IGnite is a youth-group for young people in P7 – 3rd Form (Yr10).
We meet on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Sundays of every month.
A typical night at IGnite is as follows: (the times are a rough outline, as we never seem to be able to stick to them)
6.00pm- Free Time
This is when the young people get a chance to come in, meet their friends, play games and eat loads of sweets!
6.25pm- Big Game
Our games co-ordinator, Crofty, leads lots of fun games, with great variation. Come down to find out what his next one will be!!!
6.40pm- Introduction to the Night
This is where Parksy opens the night. We welcome new-comers, sing happy birthday (when appropriate- it would be silly to otherwise), and make general announcements.
6.45pm- Message
This year we have been looking at the stories at some of the people in the Old Testament. Each leader has chosen one person to look at and share about. Parksy started with Moses, then Katie taught about Joseph and Gill went on to look at Jonah. Ian is up next, and will be sharing the story of David through a few short talks and dramas!
7.00pm- Small Groups
Small group time is probably the most valuable time at IGnite. Everyone is placed in a same-sex group of peers their own age. The purpose of this is for everyone who attends IGnite to have leaders to discuss the topics with and to build relationships with, and to chat about things going on in the lives of the young people.
7.30pm- Worship
The worship time at IGnite is great. Ian leads, with Ben on the drums. It’s a great opportunity for the young people to come together and praise God by singing some of their fav tunes! This past month we even taught the congregation Prince of Peace at the all age service.
*If there is no IGnite due to Worship First, please feel free to come to that instead! It's an informal church service aimed at the youth but is enjoyed by all ages! It is in the main church building and starts at 6.30pm.
